Selvedge
If you just tapped a card to get here, the thing in your hand is Japanese selvedge denim with the red selvedge line running down one edge and sashiko stitched across the face by hand, over a firm core. About 2.5mm thick.
It will not fit a wallet slot. That is the point. This is the card an owner keeps on the shelf behind the counter and hands to a supplier, not the one that goes out fifty at a time.
How it gets made
Cut from Japanese selvedge denim and sashiko stitched by hand over the core. Every stitch is mine, so no two cards come out the same.
Price
No listed price. Each one is stitched to order; ask me when we talk.
Canadian dollars, plus HST, when we settle on one. Two weeks from artwork approval.
What the price includes
The card, the microchip, encoding, and setting up the link it points to. Artwork comes from your logo file if you have one. If you do not, I set it from scratch and you approve a proof before I cut any denim.
If your number changes
The link inside the card can be changed later, at no cost. New phone number, new menu, new Instagram; I re-point the link and every card you have already handed out follows it. Nothing gets restitched.
The red line is the selvage the mill weaves into the edge of the cloth to stop it fraying. It is also the red line running down the left edge of this page.
